This paper is the result of international research on patterns of promotions of men and women to the highest managerial positions. In this paper I examine some hypotheses about management in Slovenija. I am presenting the results of the research that include wide sample of male and female roles in management, patterns of promotion, abilities, values, strategies etc. I am discussing the possible trends in development of management in Slovenia in comparison with other European and noneuropean countries.
