ABSTRACT:
The article deals with the evolution of the strategic human resource management (SHRM) field with a primary focus on the second stage of empirical research in 1990s, when the link between human resource management and organizational performance was largely examined. It aims to provide a brief overview of the existing empirical research into the relationship between human resource management (HRM) and organizational performance, main research findings and circumstances in which this research was done.
