35. KAIZEN IN TERMS OF VOLKSWAGEN SLOVAKIA – ANALYSIS OF THE SYSTEM OF EVALUATION AND REWARDING EMPLOYEES FOR IMPROVEMENT SUGGESTIONS

Abstract

The aim of every enterprise is primarily generate profit which ensures its continuance on the market and it provides the opportunity for further growth. An important role in this process plays the ability to improve, continuously validate and improve quality. Modern management approaches are choosing an improvement Kaizen system. Kaizen is a system of several methods of industrial engineering, the application can improve processes, save material, minimize costs, improve productivity, quality, facilitate work or improve health and safety, etc. In order to engage employees in the improvement process, companies developed its own motivation tool – rewarding employees for improvement suggestions. This process is currently so popular that there is also the introduction in the companies that do not operate primarily on the philosophy of Kaizen. The ambition of so compiled contribution is therefore refer to this phenomenon of rewarding as well as to analyze its effectiveness in terms of Volkswagen Slovakia.
