5. THE IMPACT OF PERCEIVED FAMILY-FRIENDLY POLICIES ON EMPLOYEES’ JOB SATISFACTION: THE MEDIATING ROLE OF WORK-LIFE BALANCE

Abstract
Purpose – This research aims to gain an insight to better understand the perception of employees of family-friendly
policies on work-life balance and job satisfaction within a United Nations organization in Egypt.
Design/methodology/approach – 130 staff members within the selected organization voluntarily participated in the
survey for this study.
Findings – The results of the analysis strongly affirm the existence of a positive relationship of high statistical
significance between the three constructs namely, perception of family-friendly policies, work-life balance and jobs
satisfaction. Regression analyses were also conducted concluded that work-life balance does strongly mediate the
relationship between the perception of family-friendly policies and job satisfaction.
